The Aspen Institute Forum on Women and Girls recently co-hosted a powerful and important conversation about the National Strategy on Gender Equity and Equality as part of the AscendTogether live webcast series. The series amplifies the vision and strategies of leaders who are building pathways for family well-being.

We want to thank our phenomenal panel of women leaders who shared equitable strategies and opportunities to propel women and families forward.

Wendy Chun-Hoon, Director of the U.S. Department of Labor Women’s Bureau and Jennifer Klein, Co-Chair and Executive Director of the White House Gender Policy Council discussed the importance of a whole-of government approach towards addressing the gender and racial pay gap. We were delighted to also be joined by SOAR Fellow and Executive Director of the National Employment Law Project, Rebecca Dixon and Dr. Aisha Nyandoro, Ascend Fellow and Chief Executive Officer of Springboard to Opportunities. They shared their perspective on how to take action towards realizing gender and racial justice as they continue to lead on the frontlines of change across communities.
